Solar Park

A Solar Park is a large collection of photovoltaic (PV) Solar Panels that absorb energy from the sun, convert it into electricity and send that electricity to the Power Grid for distribution and consumption by its customers. Solar Parks which are also called Solar Farms or Photovoltaic Power Stations — are mounted on the ground instead of rooftops and come in all shapes and sizes.

Types of Solar Parks

  • Utility-scale
  • Private Solar Parks

Utility Scale Solar Parks

Utility-Scale Solar Parks refer to those massive areas of land where solar panels stretch beyond the horizon. Such installations consist of hundreds of thousands of Solar Panels that absorb energy from the sun, generate an electric current and supply that power to the electricity grid through high-voltage power lines.

Private Solar Parks

AJSSPL provides Private Solar Park solutions to very high power consuming establishments (Commercial / Industrial) with zero or least investment with a discount to current grid electricity tariff. Few categories of Private Solar Parks are mentioned below:

  • Group Captive: It is an arrangement through which a developer sets up a power project for the collective use of multiple industrial or commercial consumers who have 26% equity in the project and must consume 51% of the power produced.
  • Third Party (Open Access): In this model, customer pays only for the energy generated with tariff lower than Grid, with zero investment.
  • Captive: A power plant set up by any person to generate electricity primarily for his or her own use and includes a power plant set up by any co-operative society or association of persons for generating electricity primarily for use of members of such co-operative society or association.
